In order to run Dove Cottage we rely heavily on a base of willing volunteers, who selflessly donate their time to help support in all aspects of the charity. If you would like to offer your time to help with a role that is not being actively promoted, please do get in touch!

To provide a gentle and compassionate hairdressing service to our hospice guests and carers. We’re looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable hairdresser to offer simple haircuts, styling and blow‑dries in our on‑site salon space. Experience and relevant qualifications are essential. To provide emotional support to hospice guests in a multi-faith setting.

To visit the hospice with your animal companion, to enhance our wellbeing provision for our guests and create smiles and laughter. NB: official PAT registered animals are preferred, however we can accommodate other animals too – please contact us to discuss.

To support our nursing team with visiting families out in the community to offer social support to individuals to enable their carer some respite. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
