Hairdresser — Volunteer role

To provide a gentle and compassionate hairdressing service to our hospice guests and carers. We’re looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable hairdresser to offer simple haircuts, styling and blow‑dries in our on‑site salon space. Experience and relevant qualifications are essential. Pets as Therapy — Volunteer role
Working hours: Various days (Monday – Thursday) Ad-hoc visits, not set days.
To visit the hospice with your animal companion, to enhance our wellbeing provision for our guests and create smiles and laughter. NB: official PAT registered animals are preferred, however we can accommodate other animals too – please contact us to discuss.

Dementia Support — Volunteer role
Working hours: Various days (Monday – Thursday) Ad-hoc visits, not set days.
To support our nursing team with visiting families out in the community to offer social support to individuals to enable their carer some respite. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

To coordinate and lead various activities to enhance our wellbeing provision for our guests and carers. Experience and interests in a wide range of crafts is preferable, but specific interests are also welcomed!

To support the shop managers at our Cotgrave charity shop, sorting donations, steaming clothes, restocking, pricing items for sale, using the till and handling customer enquiries.

To assist the fundraising team at various community events throughout the year. Supporting with set-up/breakdown of stands where required and promoting the hospice services to the wider community.
