Are you a budding photographer? Do you have some amazing photos you’d like to share? We need your help!
Dove Cottage is looking for a range of photographs to be included in our 2027 calendar.
The theme will be ‘the area surrounding our charity shops’ and we are welcoming any images depicting landscapes or places of local interest (such as historic or interesting buildings)
The final calendar will be available for sale in the autumn via our hospice and four charity shops. Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, 100% of profits raised from the calendar go directly to fund the services of the hospice.
Closing date for entries is Friday 12th July 2026.
Image submission terms and conditions
Images must feature landscapes or places of local interest, such as historic buildings. Photographs should be taken within approximately five miles of Bottesford, Stathern, Asfordby or Cotgrave. The theme for this year’s calendar is the area surrounding our charity shops
Images MUST NOT portray people or children
Images do not have to have been taken recently, but each image must have been taken yourself (to avoid any copyright infringements) and have been taken in the local area
Each image submitted must be named with the photographer and location
There is no limit to how many photographs you can submit, but please only send one attachment per email
There is no charge to submit images for consideration
All profits from sales of the calendar will go directly to Dove Cottage Day Hospice and individual photographers are not entitled to any financial renumeration
Once the calendar has been produced, photographers who have submitted images that appear in the final product will be contacted and offered a small number of complimentary copies of the calendar for their own use, as a gesture of thanks

Technical specifications
All images should be submitted as attachments on individual emails to tim@dovecottage.org
PLEASE DO NOT SEND MORE THAN ONE ATTACHMENT PER EMAIL
Images should be taken in landscape orientation
High resolution JPEG - Minimum 300dpi
Size of image to be 303mm wide by 216mm high (3600 pixels wide by 2560 pixels high)
(If you have very high-res files that are unsuitable for emailing, please send us an email with low-res attachment for viewing, and a note that high-res files are available.)
Consent
By submitting photographs, you automatically give permission for Dove Cottage Day Hospice to:
Reproduce the images in their 2027 calendar (if successfully shortlisted)
Post them on social media as part of the promotional campaign surrounding the competition (even if you are not successfully shortlisted)
Wherever images are used, Dove Cottage Day Hospice will credit the individual photographer/s.
